ROBBE & BERKING 12mR STERLING CUP

Friday 14th June 2002 latest arrival of all yachts at the point of the Flensburger inner harbour 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.: Champagne reception and official welcome of all participants on the occasion of the "Robbe & Berking 12mR Sterling Cup" in the Schiffahrtsmuseum Flensburg (navigation museum). afterwards: Open Air opening of the “8. Robbe & Berking Classics” with more than 200 participating yachts at the inner harbour of Flensburg. Saturday 15th June 2002 from 7:00 a.m.: Breakfast at the venue at the inner harbour of Flensburg 9:00 a.m.: Helmsmen's meeting from 11:00 a.m.: Start of the first and only race of this day. At the same time start of the seperate regatta of all participants of the Robbe & Berking Classics. evening: Grand prize-giving and much more of the "Robbe & Berking Classics" (final prize-giving for the 12mRs will be on Wednesday 19th.). midnight: Midnight fireworks Sunday 16 June 2002 12mR Races After all races of the day all 12mR will be transferred to the harbour of the FSC in Glücksburg (Flensburger Segel Club) right to the regatta tracks for the remaining days. 8:00 p.m.: Dinner at the Fakkelgaarden / Denmark From 7:15 p.m.: Water taxis will bring you from FSC to the Fakkelgaarden – dress code: Blazer Monday, 17 June 2002 12mR Races 8:00 p.m.: Departure of the steamphip “Freya” (built in 1904) from the steamship bridge in Glücksburg. Dinner on board. Dress code: Blazer Tuesday, 18 June 2002 12mR Races Wednesday 19 June 2002 One or two final races 6:00 p.m.: Prize-giving and end of "Robbe & Berking 12mR Sterling Cup" at the clubhouse of the FSC. Thursday 20 June 2002 9:00 a.m.: Start of the transfer race Flensburg (Flensburger Segel Club) - Kiel (Kieler Yacht Club) After reaching the finish transfer of the yachts to the British Kiel Yacht Club (BKYC). evening: Barbecue on the occasion of the birthday of Queen Elisabeth II. of England Friday 21 June 2002 Lay Day evening: Get together party "Rendezvous der Klassiker" Saturday 22 June 2002 7:30 a.m.: Buffet breakfast at BKYC 9:00 a.m.: All yachts cruise in company to the Olympic harbour of 1936 (inner fjord) 11:00 a.m.: First start for Classic Kiel Cup After finish all boat moor at old Olympic harbour bazaar 4. Drinks are available ashore. 5:00 p.m.: Final race for the Classic Kiel Cup 6:30 p.m.: Informal meeting of helmsmen's and crews at the emperor’s hall of the Kieler Yacht Club. Quiche and wine for all. "Rendezvous der Klassiker" - prize-giving. Live music ashore on "Pier Royal". Sunday 23 June 2002 Lay Day Monday 24 June 2002 Regatta of the "Senatspreis" on the occasion of the Kieler Woche Tuesday 25 June 2002 Races of the Kiel Cup, Kieler Woche Wednesday 26 June 2002 Races of the Kiel Cup, Kieler Woche Thursday 27 June 2002 Races of the Kiel Cup, Kieler Woche evening: Prize-giving "12mR Kieler Woche Series" In the races from Monday until Thursday the 12mR yachts participate as a group. Together these races build the "12mR Kieler Woche Series".
