built 1963 in Säffle, Sweden by Gunnar Skålén with the name Amanda.
The model is constructed 1944 by Thorvald Gjerdrum in Norway for young sailors to compete in Norwegian fjords.
Andunge has been called the ”Stradivarius on the ocean” because of its amazing sailing qualities. You are close to the element (water surface) itself, the boat is both alert and sporty giving a safe and stabile feeling as well.
The most Andunge are in Sweden and there is a very nice club that I am a member in:
www.andunge.se
After 17 wonderfull years I have decided that it is time for someone else to take care of her. Amanda has sailed in Ålands and Åbolands archipelago (Finland) and from 2018- in Syd-Fyns waters. She has had a place in Marstal (Ærø) both summer and winter and this year even in Faaborg. The winter-hall (HCC VÆRFT) has been excellent and through the years she has been taken care professionally. Documentation exists.
Amanda is K-marked in the Sjöhistoriska Museet in Stockholm but this status does not move to the new owner automatically if she/he is not living in Sweden.
New mast was made of the highest quality in HCC Værft 2019 (4900€) and I have a new, non-used white kapell-cover that was made in Mariehamn this year for 500€. (The old one is on the picture).
