Die „Nynäshamn Centennial Jubilee Regatta 2012“ könnte 2012 zur "Classic Week" Europas werden. Anlass sind die Olympischen Segelwettbewerbe vor einhundert Jahren.

Geladen wird zum EuroCup der 30er Schärenkreuzer, aber auch zur allgemeinen Klassikerregatta "Classic Boat Meet 2012". Erinnerungen an die tolle „Classic Week 2005“ im Raum Stockholm sind durchaus erwünscht: Nicht nur die alte Veranstaltercrew ist wieder am Ball, auch das Programm, beginnend mit der Geschwaderfahrt ab Simrishamn entlang der schwedischen Ostküste nach Nynäshamn, lässt eine Neuauflage der erfolgreichen Ausgabe von 2005 vermuten.

Das detaillierte Programm des Classic Boat Meet 2012 - Geschwaderfahrt ab Simrishamn Västervik, Visby-Race oder Archipelago Rally, Regatta in Nynäshamn, Schärenregatta nach Sandhamn - wird während des Wintertreffens des Freundeskreises von den schwedischen Organisatoren vorgestellt! 4.2. 19:00h im Hamburger "Völkerkundemuseum!

Grobe Programmvorschau auf die Nynäshamn Centennial Jubilee Regatta 2012:

„In the evening of July 20, 2012, we will hold the formal opening of the jubilee regatta. This is exactly 100 years after the first day of sail races in the 1912 Olympics.
The regatta opens with two substantial events.
- Classic Boat Meet July 20-24
The Classic Boat Meet is a gathering of about 150 classic yachts dating to the earlier part of last century. This will include some boats which were actually here in 1912. 3-4 archipelago races will be held, partly visible from shore. The event is concluded with a barbeque dinner.
- European cup for 6mR July 20-27
The 6mR yachts were one of the classes racing in the 1912 Olympics. Therefore it is with a special pleasure we welcome them for their open European cup races. The 6mR yachts will be based in the Nynäshamn Yacht Club harbour, and we plan for 40-50 boats.

Directly after these two starting events, we continue with:
- European cup for SK30 and the cup for SK22 July 27-30
The traditional Nordic long thin skerry cruisers sail according to the square meter rule. The Sk30s European Cup races alternates between Scandinavia and somewhere in continental Europe every other year. We expect 30-50 participants.
The Skerry Cruiser Cup for Sk22s is the Swedish championships for this
category. 20-30 competitors are expected.“
